The Next Cove Is Petrel Cove by Douglas Lemessurier

ARTIST NOTES: An Oil Painting representing the numerous coves presenterd to hikers waqlking towards Encounter Bay on the coastal Heysen Trail. The scenic aspects of the various coves give warm and peaceful solitude while hiking. The connection to the sea and sand and the surroundings allows for those special moments of relaxation and reflection or swimming. Where the sound of the surf and the power of the ocean become part of our ability to enjoy and become mesmorised by the breaking waves.
It is also a reflection of the need to free ourselves of the daily routine and take timeout for peaceful and meaningful reflection at the beach.
