I was born in South Australia and grew up on a farm on Kangaroo Island. I work in Adelaide in the area of Leisure and Lifestyle in Aged Care. My introduction to painting in watercolour began with art classes with Margo Miles as my teacher. The journey has been one of discovering what happens when the paint touches the paper and begins its magic. I began as a very cautious painter and have learned to practise and work hard to improve. With my first entry in the Victor Harbor Rotary Show I was successful in a sale and have continued to sell my watercolours in art shows and privately throughout the city and country of South Australia. I have also tried ink and watercolour and recently painting on Yupo paper. I have been actively involved with my local council as a volunteer with urban painting projects, helping primary and secondary students create stobie pole art to discourage graffiti. In my work place I have also had the opportunity to teach our clients different art techniques and encourage them to explore art. Through this project they have been successful in winning prizes in the Royal Adelaide Show.
