Rotary Victor Harbor’s Annual Art Show is a very special event as it continues to grow in strength and popularity becoming part of the culture of Victor Harbor and an event people look forward to each year.

The Victor Harbor Art Show is Australia’s largest outdoor art exhibition. It continues to break records, with the sales of artwork in excess of $300,000, over 8,000 people attending the event over nine days viewing in excess of 1,400 paintings .

The Victor Harbor Art Show is held in a large marquee during January each year which is the towns’ peak tourism period. Over 300 artworks are couriered from interstate and in 2024 featured an indigenous section with artwork from the Tiwi Islands, remote South Australia Adelaide and local indigenous artists consolidating the event as a highly regarded art exhibition.

SA Great has recognised the outstanding achievement and significant contribution the Victor Harbor Art Show has made in the region. The Victor Harbor Art Show has been awarded SA Great Regional Arts Award for 2006 and 2007 and a commendation award in 2008. This culminated in the Victor Harbor Art Show being inducted into the SA Great Hall of Fame in April 2009. It has also won the Australia Day

The growing success of the Victor Harbor Art Show can be attributed to the continuing support of our sponsors, volunteers, artists, The City of Victor Harbor and the local community. Such a large undertaking would not be possible without our sponsors.

The benefits of a show such as this are varied and many. Not only have over $2 million dollars been donated for local, national and overseas projects, but we have given many artists the opportunity to display their talents and sell their work.
