ARTIST BIO

I was born in 1976 and grew up in the southern suburbs of Adelaide.

\r\n

As a child I was always drawing - inspired both by the world around me and by my father who worked as commecial artist and illustrator. I enjoyed visual art throughout high school however I decided to study English and Australian Studies when I attended Flinders University. After I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree I worked in a variety of areas including local libraries, academic administration and public relations.

\r\n

Having painted sporadically during my twenties, I returned to visual art practice in 2009. Collaborating with photographer Andrew King I presented \'The Body on the Beach\' exhibition at the Holdfast Bay Discovery Centre in 2011. This exhibition was inspired by the mystery of the unknown man found on Somerton Beach in 1948.

\r\n

In 2015 I presented the exhibition \"Good Sports\' with fellow painter Kate Bower at the Bapea Art School Gallery. A few months later I was honoured to receive the \'Best Painting\' award at the Walkerville Art Show.

\r\n

I continue to study portraiture and life drawing at the Bapea Art School under the instruction of Peter Bok.
